What?
There is a job for everyone! Volunteers from all professions and education/experience levels have been vital to our thriving brigades since 2010. We need YOUR help!
The Dominican Republic brigade is our newest site, where you can get in on the ground floor as we build up the process and team to deliver consistent connection, healthcare, medication, smiles, and love for years to come. This is our only brigade where we have a large group of local medical professionals, so our greatest need is for support teammates that empower the Dominican doctors to focus on their patients.
During this mutually life-changing brigade experience, volunteers without medical backgrounds have the unique opportunity to (while volunteers with medical backgrounds treat patients):
Community Service Brigades are not possible without medical professionals! Globalize your healing art and sharpen medical wisdom as you address levels of need unknown in the developed world. Each brigade requires at least two adult doctors, two pediatricians, and one pharmacist. Dentists, Dental Hygienists, EMTs, Medical Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Medical Assistants, OBGyns, Psychosocial Support Professionals (with a master’s level certification or above), Specialty Doctors & more are desired so we can provide well-rounded medical care.
Students of Education, Healthcare, Nonprofit, Social Services and many others can gain direct experience in their field while making generational impact.
In the communities we serve, healthcare treatment, education, and medications are inaccessible, scarce, too expensive, diluted/polluted, and sometimes non-existent. Participating inspires greater hope in our neighbors and your registration fee pays for the safe delivery of quality US medications and healthcare services to those in need.
During our Dominican brigade, you will enjoy a beautiful oceanside hotel in the historic Caribbean city of Santo Domingo. Vivid views, vibrant neighbors, and historic buildings dating back to the 1500’s await you. Extend your stay so you can vacation and get the most out of the tropical destination while you are here!
Volunteers will engage neighbors and communities in La Romana, Santo Domingo, San Gregoria de Nigua, San Cristobal, and San Victor Moca that are in serious need of healthcare services and medication. You will become a crucial member of our team comprised of foreign and local volunteers to deliver high-impact, sustainable, and generational change to communities that need it most.
