Service-learning trips around the world to restore communities badly affected by material poverty through a philosophy of reciprocal and respectful service.
What?
HOPE worldwide Volunteer Corps' main purpose is mutually transforming engagement in
communities around the world. We partner with HOPE worldwide programs and local staff. We support the efforts of the local programs to restore communities badly affected by material poverty; we assist local efforts to teach children, train teachers, mentor youth, rebuild areas that have felt the impact of natural disasters, support sustainable agriculture programs, and engage with those without shelter, refugees, and seniors. Our programs are wide-reaching and support a multitude of needs across the globe. Our philosophy is one of reciprocal and respectful service. Our volunteers go in humility, striving to learn from the communities they engage with under the leadership of the local HOPEww programs,
and gaining an understanding of other cultures.
Anyone! Whatever your age, wherever you live, whatever your skills, we have a Volunteer Corps for you!

Does your local HOPE worldwide program or Chapter wish to host a Volunteer Corps?
Applications open on July 1.
The programs, staff, and volunteers that host our trips around the world are the backbone of HOPEww Volunteer Corps. We are here to serve them and their beneficiaries, to help them bring compassion and hope to their communities, to build relationships, and to learn along the way.
For questions, please email us at hvc@hopeww.org.
While COVID-19 vaccines are no longer a requirement for volunteering with HOPE worldwide, we do highly recommend that all volunteers be vaccinated against COVID-19 for your safety and the safety of your fellow volunteers and those you will be serving.
Please be advised that as the landscape for COVID-19 protocols shifts within the countries in which we serve, we will adhere to each country’s mandates. Each applicant will need to meet the vaccination requirements of the country in which they apply to serve as well as any airline requirements.
If you do test positive for COVID-19 while on a Community Service Brigade or HOPE worldwide Volunteer Corps and are not able to travel home on your original flights, HOPE worldwide will assist with acquiring your extended lodging. However, you will be responsible for any expenses incurred because of an extended stay. If you have questions or concerns, please contact hvc@hopeww.org.

Food Information (Allergies/Intolerance Issues): Our sites are not equipped to prepare special meals based on specific dietary preferences or allergies. The meals should have enough variety that you can pick from what is provided to meet your needs. If you have a serious medical food allergy or cannot tolerate this arrangement, please consider attending our Philadelphia HYC site which has a designated allergy kitchen. If you have issues with gluten or dairy, our sites in Asia are better suited for these dietary needs (rice-based diets). Our programs in Europe are not good sites for gluten and dairy issues.
If you still have questions after taking a good look at the website and detailed site descriptions, please contact hvc@hopeww.org or (833) 448-2677.
