Ethiopia: The Cradle of Mankind and Civilization
HOPEww Ethiopia is excited to host our 2nd Volunteer Corps in the city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia!! Historically known as Abyssinia, it is regarded as the cradle of both mankind and civilization.
You will teach school children at an Early Childhood Development (ECD) program, assist with renovating the school, and engage with the community by educating caregivers and parents on how to support their children through play and learn activities.
You will also get the chance to build relationships with the church members and their families. You will reach out to the community and host church/worship service. You will learn a lot from this amazing program and from the local culture while serving.
As HVC participants, you will be able to imitate God by bringing love, encouragement and hope to the orphans, as you learn from them too. Thus, bringing the scripture to life. (Psalm 10:17-18.)
