Hope Worldwide. Bringing Hope. Changing Lives.

Mozambique HVC

Join us for the “Maputo, Mozambique Hww Volunteer Corps: The Tribe!”

Mozambique is one of the materially poorest countries in the world, but one of the richest in culture. MOZ HOPE (www.mozhope.org) is supporting the lives of over 4,000 orphans and vulnerable families through their Early Childhood Development program. Learn about it watching this video:
We will get an opportunity to serve those families and children. We will also get to see a new Academy designed in partnership with Third Drive ( www.3rddrive.com/social). The Academy piece is designed to raise children out of poverty by giving them employable skills in the global marketplace.

We are particularly interested in volunteers with the following professional skills and interests. You can share and teach kids between the ages of 9 and 12 and their families.
  • Basic English
  • Basic Computer Literacy. Internet, Word, Excel.
  • Entry level graphic design, coding, web design
  • Medical Skills
  • Nutrition Specialists
  • Basic principles of business and entrepreneurship
  • Fundraising skills - for ongoing support of the Academy
  • Donors - for ongoing support of the Academy
  • Other skills that might help us develop the Academy long term.

As we get an idea of who our volunteers will be, we are looking to dynamically create a plan for maximum impact, that includes learning about the ECD program, teaching at the new Academy, getting to know the families and children we serve, meeting with business and government leaders and serving in the health/medical field. Our prayer is for maximum impact for each member of the volunteer corps to change lives and lift children out of poverty.

It would be a shame to go to Africa and not experience some of its unique and life-changing beauty, food and nature. We want to encourage our volunteers to plan a few days of tourism either in Mozambique or neighboring countries like Tanzania or South Africa. There are amazing once-in-a-lifetime options available. We will provide some options to choose from, but feel free to have your own plan either individually or with other members of the group.
