Hope Worldwide. Bringing Hope. Changing Lives.

Tucson Volunteer Corps

(July 14 - July 26) CLOSED

Thousands of refugee families from every corner of God’s Earth are being dropped off here in Tucson, Arizona. Without people-powered shelters, our brothers and sisters would be abandoned on the streets- homeless in a foreign country without food, water, or any essentials. At the Casa Alitas Hospitality Center (the central hub for all Southern Arizona Refugees) we serve the refugee families that are dropped off daily by Border Patrol after being cleared to enter the country.

People of all nations can be found in this shelter, and it is those brothers and sisters that we serve. We provide a safe place to rest, rehydrate, eat, and care for their children. We also offer a change of clothes, hygiene items, and a chance to wash up as we arrange for their travel to reunite with their families. We also provide the families with travel bags that include food, water, toiletries, hygiene items and diapers. Hence, we fulfill Jesus’s example by serving His people of all nations at this shelter.

At the Casa Alitas Welcome Center you will have the opportunity to make a true impact on “the least” of God’s children. They have endured the worst of conditions in their home countries, so they seek to improve their lives and contribute to a country that doesn’t take so much from them. The service you provide here will be felt in family networks that span the globe.
