In the heart of Manitoba, a province known for its wild prairie landscape and close-knit communities, there lies a silent crisis. Manitoba grapples with one of the highest rates of children in foster care in the world. The child and family service systems are overwhelmed, struggling to keep pace with the ever-growing needs of these young souls who yearn for love, happy memories, and a positive sense of self-worth.
As a member of our Volunteer Corps, you will serve to bridge this heartrending gap through our summer day camp for children in care. Through games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures and memorable field trips, you’ll provide a safe space for these children to feel valued and create beautiful memories. And when you're not spreading happiness at the camp, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant and diverse local Winnipeg Church with its warm, welcoming family atmosphere where church members are just as involved as our dedicated Volunteer Corps participants.
