Serving Changed His Life

Mandy Goins • June 5, 2019

Again and again, lives are transformed by serving on Volunteer Corps. Jonathan Goh, a teen from Singapore, went on the Philippines HVC with 20 other Singaporean teens this past Christmas. His heart was moved, and he decided to change his life. He was baptized in March. This is what his mother says in the video of his baptism:
"After the 2018 HVC, Jonathan started to change. I didn't know what happened to him. He started to get close to the group (of 20 teens who went on the trip). He started to study the Bible in the Philippines. We had been trying to help him a lot. Many times I felt like giving up. I felt very hopeless. I didn't know what to do."
Serving on Volunteer Corps can be a jolt to the heart, a trigger that awakens compassion and softens the soul, making us more open to the Gospel. We still have a few spots on our June to August trips, and we also have plenty of space on the December programs. Do join us for a life changing experience!
