At an elementary school in Pennsylvania, the Student Council held an essay contest for the student council members called “Where to Share.” The students were asked to write an opinion piece convincing the Student Council Advisory Board to donate money to a cause of their choice. Two students, Riley Carmichael and Audrey Getz, teamed up to write an essay together choosing HOPE worldwide as their cause. They won the contest and hosted a movie night at their school raising $600 for HOPE worldwide ! It is so encouraging to see young people have a heart for HOPE worldwide and for the poor and needy.  We believe that our elementary school's extra donation money should go to HOPE worldwide . There are many reasons to share, a few of them are: it can be a kids helping kids program, it brings hope and changes the lives of the world’s most poor, sick and suffering, and they are compelled to find new and innovative ways to fight poverty, respond to disasters and foster a culture of volunteerism.

HOPE ww Scouts are young HOPE worldwide members that help other kids. HOPE ww Scouts was founded by the youngest volunteers of HOPE worldwide and is aimed at creating opportunities for students in kindergarten through 8th grade to contribute to HOPE worldwide programs and efforts in meaningful ways. This program enables children to impact those in need while instilling a commitment to service in their hearts. Under the supervision of their Scout Leaders, troops routinely support local programs and distinguish themselves by their passionate service. There are currently HOPE ww Scout troops in over 30 cities and three countries. They are an inspiration to us all.

HOPE worldwide ’s mission as an international charity is to change lives through the compassion and commitment of dedicated staff and volunteers delivering sustainable, high-impact, community-based services to the poor and needy. They also help orphans in Africa. Millions of orphans and young children in Africa face the challenges created by poverty and the lack of health care, basic education, adequate nutrition, and child protection every day. But your help and generosity allows them to meet these critical needs and reach out in love to thousands of these little children.

Today, HOPE worldwide serves more than 1.5 million people annually on every inhabited continent. When a crisis happens, HOPE worldwide donates anything in their power. This is a map of where HOPE worldwide currently helps:

HOPE worldwide lives off of this bible verse:

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” -Matthew 25:35-40

We are absolutely certain that our elementary school should donate their extra donation money to
