Hurricane Michael UPDATE

Hurricane Michael being described as one of the most destructive and powerful storm to ever strike the Florida Panhandle.

Hurricane Michael is being described as one of the most destructive hurricanes to ever strike the Florida Panhandle. 18 people have been reported killed and billions of dollars of property has been lost. Many areas near and around the eye of the storm are completely destroyed.

HOPE worldwide’s Global Disaster Response is currently in route to the area and will be delivering over 4,000 lbs. of relief supplies on Tuesday, October 16th. Lifesaving food and water filtration systems along with hygiene products will help over 100 families with immediate aid.

Volunteers from Tallahassee will be assisting with an initial food distribution on Tuesday and HOPE worldwide and local leaders will conduct an assessment and develop an action plan for future assistance.

Many are asking how they can help. The hardest hit areas are largely inaccessible to non-first responders. There will likely be volunteer opportunities soon, but the best way to help right now is to contribute to the HOPE worldwide Global Disaster Response fund. DONATE NOW
