VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Tijuana Community Service

100 volunteers needed in Tijuana

HOPEww volunteers from San Diego, Los Angeles, and Tijuana along with members of the San Bernardo community will be serving two Saturdays in a row, Saturday April 20th and 27th. We will be working on three sites. Two of those sites are repairs and construction of two parks. The parks are uniquely designed with re-purposed materials. The third site is the facility where a future HOPEww Community Center will be built.

  • Meeting Location: Mex Insur 99 Bonita Rd, Chula Vista, CA 91910 - Saturday 20th and 27th at 7:30 a.m.

    • We are aiming to depart from Chula Vista to Tijuana at 8 am and return to Chula Vista by 3 pm

    • The serving on-site will be 9am-2pm

Expenses

  • We are asking the SD/LA volunteers to give $15 for lunch. The total amount will be used to provide a lunch meal for all of the workers (HOPE SD, TJ and community volunteers)

Minors 15 years and over are welcome to come with parent(s) . Minor Waiver must be filled out

What to bring:

  • $15 dollars cash for lunch
  • U.S. entry ID and or Passport
  • Outdoor work clothes, gloves, closed shoes
  • HOPEww shirt (if you don't have one it's OK)
  • Refillable water bottle
