Celebrating a Legacy of Service: Nadine Templer's Impactful Journey of Hope

December 18, 2023

As the year draws to a close, HOPE worldwide would like to honor and acknowledge many years of leadership provided by Nadine Templer, Senior Director of International Volunteer Programs. After much thoughtful contemplation, Nadine has decided to step down at the end of this year from her position directing HOPE worldwide Volunteer Corps (HVC). Nadine's decision marks the end of an era, but it also paves the way for the next chapter in her remarkable journey that continues to impact so many around the world.

Nadine has been a driving force behind the thriving HVC Program, which has changed the lives of thousands of people across the globe through service-learning experiences that engage the true heart of servant leadership in our volunteers. Her dedication to the transformative power of mutually respectful and relational service and her passion for youth programs have deeply impacted both the volunteers who participate in HVC trips and the community beneficiaries who benefit from their efforts. Her true impact cannot be fully measured.

Nadine has been an integral part of HOPE worldwide's global mission for 30 years. Nadine's journey with HOPE worldwide began alongside her husband, Mark, as they led churches in India and helped develop HOPE worldwide programs to support their neighbors in need. This deep-rooted passion to engage in the ministry of Jesus has been the primary motivation behind her tireless efforts to make a positive impact around the world. Ten years ago she took on the full-time role of directing HOPEww Volunteer Corps service learning trips, and has grown the impact of the program in remarkable ways.

As Nadine bids farewell, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering belief in the importance of imitating Jesus’ love for those in need, and the potential of respectful, relational service to create transformation. While her daily presence will be missed, the foundation she has laid ensures that the work of the HOPE worldwide Volunteer Corps will endure and continue to thrive. We are grateful that Nadine will continue supporting HOPE worldwide programs and volunteering with us regularly.

Looking ahead to 2024 and beyond, HOPE worldwide is committed to building on Nadine's legacy with HVC. A comprehensive leadership plan is in place to guarantee the continuation of service trips that are run with excellence and professionalism. The current staff will carry the torch forward with support from HOPE worldwide’s executive leadership team, maintaining the high standards that have defined HVC under Nadine's leadership.

HOPE worldwide expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Nadine for her years of service and wishes her the very best in all her future endeavors.
