Responding to COVID-19 in India

HOPE worldwide • April 30, 2021

Update 7.12.21

Teleperformance, HOPE worldwide and Feed the Children have joined forces to support the most vulnerable communities in India during this ongoing, global crisis.  Starting July 11, and continuing through the beginning of Sept., HOPE worldwide will work through its network member, HOPE Foundation in India, to provide bags of food for 2,500 families (approximately 10,000 individuals) in and around the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. The more than a weeks’ worth of food supplies for families will be purchased from local vendors in India and assembled by HOPE Foundation staff and volunteers. The volunteers will then deploy to the various communities to distribute the much-needed resources to parents and children. To read the full press release click here.

Update 5.26.21

Our brothers and sisters in India would like to say THANK YOU for all of the love and support. HOPEww has been active in serving over 2,000 families who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in India. One family suffered from job loss and lack of food, and now they are grateful they are able to feed their family. What a blessing to love our neighbors in need!

Update 5.20.21

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, HOPE worldwide has supported our brothers and sisters in 52 Indian Churches and their surrounding communities. With your support, over $260,000 has been used to provide food, medicine and supplies to help people in need. THANK YOU! Your donation today can help provide additional ongoing support for our global family as these needs persist. Donate Now at hopeww.org/covid19.

Update 4.30.21

HOPE
worldwide is currently working with HOPEww in India and the leadership of our church partners in India to assess the needs and best ways to assist families and their communities. Our partners on the ground in India have said, “The situation is very grim, and many families are losing loved ones.”

Our mission is to love our brothers and sisters in need. Earlier this week, HOPEww sent funds for the immediate purchase of oxygen concentrators for use in five cities around India. There are additional immediate needs for more oxygen generators, food, medicine, essential supplies and equipment. It’s been encouraging that so many people and organizations are all coming together to help India in their time of need. Our COVID-19 team is continuing to work to support these efforts and others around the world, as the pandemic is not over.

As you pray for those who are suffering from the impact of this pandemic in India, please also pray for our global family challenged to combat this deadly virus. HOPE
worldwide is actively responding in acute locations like India and Brazil, but also in over 70 other countries around the globe. If you are in a position to give, please consider supporting our efforts. Your thoughtful donation can be made at hopeww.org/covid19.

Update 4.28.21

Please pray for India as they are facing a devastating second wave of COVID-19. Many people are suffering due to lack of supplies. HOPEww is actively working with our partners to provide food, medicine and immediate relief materials.
